Model 1000 Mk. II Phono Preamplifier
This is my original award-winning all-tube phono preamp based on the design I’ve been refining for over two decades. I still really like this unit; perhaps a little more “tube sound” than my new one. The new Mark-II version uses the same audio circuit as the original but with all the improvements in components, layout, and power supply design as the new Model 2200.
All-tube signal path with novel circuit architecture inspired by Erno Borbely
34 dB of gain is perfect for many MM and high-output MC cartridges, or low-output MC with external stepup
Same top-quality components and construction as Model 2200 for highest quality sound!

Check out this review of the original Model 1000 preamplifier by veteran writer Dick Olsher in The Absolute Sound, Issue 280!
"A key performance aspect that endeared this phonostage to me was its ability to extract plenty of passion from vinyl...it strikes me as a significant accomplishment at what is a bargain-basement price in the audiophile arena. The TPAD 1000 gets my vote for budget phonostage of the year." Dick Olsher, The Absolute Sound, Issue 280
